Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the OCCUPI platform, operated by OCCUPI Inc. By creating an account or using any part of the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use OCCUPI. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and truthful.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree not to share your login information or allow others to access your account. OCCUPI is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized account access due to your failure to keep credentials secure.

3. Listings and content

Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their listings. All listings are reviewed by OCCUPI before going live. We reserve the right to reject or remove any listing that violates our policies, contains inaccurate information, or is otherwise inappropriate. By submitting a listing, you grant OCCUPI a non-exclusive license to display that content on the platform.

4. Renter profiles

Renters are responsible for the accuracy of their profile information. Providing false or misleading information — including lifestyle preferences, identity, or contact details — may result in account suspension. OCCUPI uses profile information to facilitate compatibility matching and does not guarantee any specific outcome.

5. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to use OCCUPI for any unlawful purpose, to harass or harm other users, to post fraudulent or misleading content, to scrape or copy platform data, or to circumvent any security or access controls. Violations may result in immediate account termination.

6. Transactions and agreements

OCCUPI is a matching and communication platform. We do not facilitate payments, execute rental agreements, or act as a party to any lease or sublease arrangement between users. Any rental agreement is solely between the host and renter. OCCUPI is not responsible for disputes, damages, or losses arising from those arrangements.

7. Limitation of liability

OCCUPI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OCCUPI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to housing disputes, property damage, or personal injury.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any conduct we determine to be harmful to the platform or its users. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of OCCUPI after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the platform.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of OCCUPI shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
